We took an incredibly long tube ride to Tower Hill to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Although the weather was miserable it didn't daunt the tourists who were there in droves.
From there we headed to St Paul's Cathedral to explore this magnificent building, with its elaborate architecture and the crypt containing the tombs of famous figures from history.
We had lunch at Pret Manger, which we have discovered does lovely fresh wraps and sandwiches and good coffee.
Back on the tube again, we headed for our hotel to repack the suitcases and ensure we are ready to join our tour of Europe tomorrow. We are to be at Jury's Inn, Chelsea by 7.30am for an 8.00am departure. We have the cab booked for 6.50am, so will be up bright and early tomorrow!
